Approach

Positive behaviour support

My approach is based on the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model, which focuses on improving quality of life for individuals and those around them.

My support involves working collaboratively with families and individuals to understand underlying needs and develop effective ways to meet those needs.

This includes teaching new skills, adapting environments, and using proactive strategies tailored to individual needs.

My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to support your child or yourself in a meaningful and sustainable way.

Principle based

Neuro-affirming: I provide support that respects and values neurodiversity, with strategies adapted to individual differences.

Evidence based: I draw on current research and established psychological approaches to ensure my support is effective and reliable.

Person centered: I tailor my support to the unique needs, values, and goals of each person and family, with a focus on collaboration.

Strength based: I work to identify and build upon existing strengths to promote confidence, independence, and positive outcomes.

Culturally responsive: I provide support that is inclusive, relevant, and meaningful within the cultural context of each person or family.
